WebQuest.

This is my attempt to discuss the webquest. As I stated earlier I a blog this is not my strongest area of understanding. I do think this will be a valuable too to use in the classroom. I have attempted to engage these material several times but to date I have had no success. The interest in this subject seems to be very high but most people seem to share my anxiety.

I owe you

I can’t think of what this blog was supposed to be about. I have read many other blogs and could not match the dates with my blog. I have decided to address this matter by discussing most of the material I have not yet discussed that I found in other blogs.
The only two subjects I had not covered, presentations and webquest. I really didn’t enjoy the experance of the presentation although I think it went as well as could be expected. I learned a lot from the other presentation sand I hope others can say the same thing about ours.
The next was the webquest. I am still having trouble figuring g this out but I will continue until I am able to use the educational materials to benefit my future students.
I will blog how this turns out wish me well.

Reflection from 02/13/2008; I laughed, I cried, mainly I cried

Don’t get me wrong I love the concept of web based lessons. I just feel really old trying to follow the layout of Web Quest. I’m sure that the next class will help me to develop and better understanding of this type of instruction. I will be making use of some of the links reviewed in class in other classes as well as eventually in my career.

Lesson plans, class discussion 02-06-08

I found the lesson plan discussion very helpful. I have never been in a teaching situation that required me to modify or even find a more appropriate lesson plan. The links to lesson plan banks will be very useful to me in the completion of my academic work as well as continuing to be a valuable resource in my teaching profession.
The discussion in evaluating the validity and quality of lesson plans was also very helpful. I would have been more trusting of lesson plans found in the Library of Congress had I not been taught to evaluate every lesson plan using the same model regardless of the source. As discussed in class anybody can file lesson plans online. That doesn’t mean they are effective or even appropriate for your class.

PowerPoint presentations / 01-30-08

I learned a lot about power point that I didn’t know before. I am excited to apply some of these skills into my personal video editing. I will also integrate these skills into future lesson plans. I also had the opportunity to practice some of the skills I learned about copy write law in the previous class.
